General Enquiries

When is RecFest 2024?

RecFest is on the 11th of July, 2024 from 8 am – 9 pm.

RecFest Stages open at 9am and close at 5pm.

Exhibitor’s are open throughout the entire event.

The RecFest after party is due to start at 5.30, with music and entertainment to cap off the event.

If traveling by train, we recommend arriving at Stevenage Station where there is a Shuttle Service provided with your ticket to take you to the venue, and back throughout the event - including after the evening entertainment.

If driving, RecFest has plenty of secure, free parking when arriving on site.

Absolutely! RecFest is a great place to meet a lot of like minded people and many people every year attend on their own.

How do I get there?

If traveling by train, we recommend arriving at Stevenage Station where there is a Shuttle Service provided with your ticket to take you to the venue, and back throughout the event - including after the evening entertainment.

What is the free Shuttle Service?

Multiple shuttles will be running throughout the event and will be on a continuous loop between Stevenage Station and the RecFest entrance.

The first service will begin at 07:45 am and the last service back to Stevenage is at 9.30 pm. The shuttle drop-off and pick-up point will be by the event entrance giving prompt access to the event.

Is there parking on site?

There will be plenty of free parking at the event. The car park will be found next to the Novotel at:

The car park will be signposted on the day.

If you need disabled parking, just ask our traffic management team on arrival who will be able to show you our reserved spots.

Is there anywhere can I store my items?

There is no cloakroom at RecFest so we recommend you only bring as much as you are willing to carry.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

No. Tickets will not be purchasable at the door.

Yes, but note that many of the Stevenage hotels are booking up quickly!

I have a dietary requirement. Will they be catered for?

We recognise the importance of accommodating a variety of dietary needs, and so we will make every effort to cater to any and all attendee dietary needs.

What should I bring?

We recommend that you bring: 

  • Your ticket
  • Your ID (Challenge 25 in operation)
  • Water bottle (to refill at stations)
  • Notebook and pen
  • Comfy shoes
  • Weather protection (e.g. sunscreen or a raincoat depending on the forecast)
  • Phone charger bank

What counts as a valid ID?

The following forms of identification will be accepted:

  • A Passport (Not a photocopy)
  • Full Driving Licence or Provisional Licence
  • A Proof of Age Card bearing a PASS hologram
  • A Ministry of Defence identity card
  • A National identity card issued by an EU member state

What should I wear?

We are in England, so please plan casual comfortable outfits for all weather types.

This event takes place in a field, and we recommend you wear comfortable and practical shoes for this environment.

This event takes place in a large field, and we recommend you wear comfortable and practical shoes for this environment.

Can I bring my pet to RecFest?

We generally do not allow pets or children at the event. However, guide dogs and other registered service animals are absolutely welcome.

Is the event wheelchair/mobility scooter accessible?

RecFest is hosted outdoors at a park location, with a combination of flat grass surfaces and treaded walkways. We aim to make the event as inclusive and comfortable as possible for all attendees.

However, everyone's access needs can differ. If you have specific accessibility concerns or if you think you might need additional support at the event, we encourage you to reach out to contact us.

Will there be places to eat?

Yes! There will be plenty of food purchasable around RecFest from breakfast to dinner. We will releasing the vendors closer to the day of the event but we will aim to accommodate a vast range of dietary requirements.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink for the day. However, alcohol or glass will not be permitted from outside of the event and will be confiscated at check-in.
