Terms and Conditions for Purchasing RecFest Tickets

Purchase, Transfer, and Refunds
  • All tickets for RecFest are sold subject to availability.
  • Festival Tickets are reserved for in-house talent acquisition, resourcing and HR Professionals only.
  • Tickets are transferable up to the day before the event through your ticket portal.
  • Tickets can only be transferred to persons that fall under the same criteria as the ticket type being transferred. We reserve the right to cancel any transferred ticket if the ticket transfer causes the new attendee to be on the wrong ticket type.
  • A full refund is available if cancellation is made within 30 days of the purchase date. No refunds will be provided after this period.
  • No refunds will be available for tickets purchased within 30 days of the event.
  • All refunds must be in writing to tickets@recfest.com
  • Tickets cannot be rolled over to future years.
Gifts and Hospitality
  • Attendees are discouraged from accepting gifts or hospitality if such acceptance might influence, or be perceived to influence, any decision related to the event or its sponsors. Any attendee found to be using gifts inappropriately may be subject to removal from the event.
Photography and Videography
  • By attending RecFest, attendees grant the organisers the right to capture their images in photographs and video footage. This content may be used for promotional and marketing purposes related to RecFest and its associated activities.
  • If attendees do not want to be featured in published images, they should inform event organisers.
Data Sharing with Sponsors
  • By purchasing a ticket, attendees consent to their contact data being shared with event sponsors for promotional purposes. Any attendee who does not wish for their data to be shared should inform the event organisers in writing prior to the event.
RFID Tracking (UK Only)
  • RecFest employs RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) tracking for security and data analysis purposes. By attending the event, attendees agree to the use of RFID tracking during their time at the venue for this purpose.
  • When you attend a sponsored workshop or talk, or visit a sponsor who has opted to use RFID, your visit is tracked by RFID and your data is passed to the sponsor. Any attendee who does not wish for their data to be shared with the sponsor or speaker should inform the event organisers in writing prior to the event.
Safety and Security
  • Attendees are required to comply with all safety and security regulations set by the event organisers and venue management. Any attendee found in violation of these regulations may be asked to leave the event.
Limitation of Liability
  • RecFest organisers, partners, sponsors, and venue management will not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any attendee whilst attending the event, save for any legal obligations to the contrary.
Amendments to the Terms
  • The event organisers reserve the right to amend or add to these terms and conditions without prior notice. Attendees are advised to check the event website regularly for updates.
Entry and Admission
  • The event organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any attendee at their discretion.
  • All attendees may be required to provide valid identification upon request. Any age restrictions will be clearly stated on event promotions and must be adhered to.
Behaviour and Conduct

Attendees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times. The Recruitment Events Co. strives for all our events to be a 100% positive experience from beginning to end for everyone. We celebrate and welcome the diversity of all attendees, vendors, sponsors, partners, speakers and employees and will not tolerate discriminatory behaviour by or towards anyone taking part in our events (whether in-person or virtually).

By attending our events, you’re agreeing to respect and be kind to everyone present, regardless of their gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, ability or any other aspect of what they look like, where they come from or who they are.

Any breaches of the below codes of conduct will be dealt with seriously and may mean temporary or permanent exclusion from our events.

  • Harassment in any form, whether based on gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic, will not be tolerated.
  • Alcohol – If alcohol is being served at the event, attendees must be of legal drinking age and are expected to consume alcohol responsibly. Excessive drinking, drunkenness, or disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Dress Code – The event has a business casual dress code, and attendees are expected to dress appropriately for the occasion. Clothing that is revealing, provocative, offensive, or inappropriate is not permitted. Attendees should use their best judgment when selecting their attire, taking into consideration the nature of the event, the audience, and the venue.
  • Technology – The use of mobile devices, cameras, and recording equipment is allowed at the event, subject to the discretion of the event organizers. Attendees are asked to use their devices in a considerate and respectful manner, without disrupting the event or infringing on the privacy of others. Attendees should obtain consent before taking photos or videos of individuals, especially if they are in a private or sensitive setting.
  • Food and Beverages – Food and beverages are available onsite to purchase in the field. Attendees are not permitted to bring their own food or beverages to the event unless they have a special dietary requirement or medical condition that requires it. The event organizers will make reasonable accommodations for attendees with special needs, upon request.
  • Smoking – Smoking is not permitted in the event venue, including indoors and outdoors. Designated smoking areas will be provided outside the venue, where attendees can smoke in a safe and responsible manner. Attendees should dispose of their cigarette butts in the designated receptacles and avoid littering or causing any fire hazards.
  • Changes to the Rules of Engagement – The event organizers reserve the right to modify these rules of engagement at any time, without prior notice. Attendees are responsible for staying informed about any changes and complying with the updated guidelines. The event organizers will make reasonable efforts to communicate any changes through the event website, email, or social media.

Consequences of Non-Compliance

Attendees, vendors, sponsors, and speakers who do not comply with these rules of engagement may be asked to leave the event without a refund. In severe cases, the event organizers may also take legal action against the violators, including but not limited to filing a police report, pressing charges, or seeking compensation for damages. Attendees are responsible for any costs or expenses incurred as a result of their non-compliance with these guidelines.

 

Intellectual Property
  • All content presented or displayed at RecFest, including but not limited to presentations, workshops, and exhibitions, remains the intellectual property of its respective creators. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.
Accessibility
  • The venue is committed to providing an environment that is accessible to all. Attendees with special requirements are encouraged to contact the event organisers in advance to ensure their needs are accommodated.
Lost or Stolen Items
  • The event organisers and venue management shall not be held responsible for personal items that are lost or stolen during RecFest.
Health and Wellbeing
  • Attendees are expected to adhere to any health and safety protocols set by the event organisers and venue management.
  • In the event of an emergency, attendees should follow the evacuation protocols as directed by event staff and venue personnel.
Emergency Procedures
  • In the event of an emergency, attendees are asked to remain calm and follow the instructions of event staff and emergency personnel. Emergency exits, evacuation routes, and first aid stations will be clearly marked and accessible. Attendees should report any safety concerns or incidents to the event organizers or security personnel immediately.
Force Majeure
  • The event organisers shall not be held liable for any changes, cancellations, or postponements of RecFest due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or public health emergencies.
Data Protection and Privacy
  • Attendee data will be handled with utmost care and in compliance with our privacy policy.
Venue Specifics
  • Attendees must adhere to all rules and guidelines set forth by the venue management. This includes any restrictions on areas of the venue that are off-limits to attendees.
Third-Party Vendors
  • Any transactions or interactions with third-party vendors at RecFest are solely between the attendee and the respective vendor. The event organisers and venue management shall not be held liable for any disputes or issues arising from such interactions.
Ticket Reselling
  • The resale of tickets for profit or commercial gain without the express permission of the event organisers is prohibited and may result in the ticket being voided without refund.
