After my first RecFest, I’d argue it’s the opposite.
If you work in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment and haven’t yet experienced RecFest, I’d highly recommend adding it to your calendar for 2027!
If you’ve never been, imagine thousands of TA profs gathered in open fields, big-top stages, music, great food, and sunshine, basically everything a stuffy conference hall is NOT.
It’s the kind of event where fresh thinking happens naturally because the environment is designed to spark genuine connection.
What surprised me was the sheer range of talks on offer, and how much more useful and interesting the content was than some HR conferences where tickets run over €1,000.
Spent the day at RecFest UK with the Talent Acquisition team from Halfords – Knebworth Park in the sunshine, thousands of TA and HR professionals and genuinely some of the best content I’ve seen at an industry event this year.
I headed to RecFest UK for the 4th year in a row (they must be doing something right) {…} it was a brilliant opportunity to spend quality time with my new team, meet peers across the world of TA who are moving the needle and step back from the day-to-day.

I had the privilege of attending for the 3rd time this year, and each year never fails to provide insight on leading recruitment knowledge, experiences and techniques from a variety of pioneers across the industry. If you have never been, I would recommend anyone going who is in the recruitment world.
